I'm a residency-trained, board-certified Clinical Pharmacy Specialist with a 15 year career spanning Primary Care, Endocrinology, and healthcare system leadership. In 2019, my daughter Rory Belle was born. Shortly after, she was diagnosed with NARS1, an ultra-rare neurodevelopmental disorder. When I searched for answers, I found almost nothing. Rory passed away in 2021, leaving me wanting to deliver answers for those whose stories mirrored my own.

I know what it's like to sit in a hospital room with a critically ill child and still not be able to navigate the system, even as a pharmacist. That experience changed everything. In 2022, I left my role in healthcare to work full time in rare disease, completing a research fellowship with COMBINEDBrain and joining the MED13L Foundation as Director of Research and Community Engagement. I also co-founded The Rory Belle Foundation, dedicated to advancing research and awareness for NARS1 disorder in her memory.

rePURPOSEd Pharmacy Practice exists because patient advocacy organizations and parents deserve a clinical pharmacist in their corner. One who understands the science, the system, and what it actually means to a family when someone listens to each risk a parent is willing to take.
